US puts Osama bin Laden's son on terror blacklist
January 05, 2017

The United States added Hamza bin Laden, son of the late global jihadist leader Osama bin Laden, to its terrorist blacklist today.

Hamza, who is in his mid-twenties, has become active as an Al-Qaeda propagandist since his father's death at the hands of US special forces in 2011.

"The Department of State has designated Hamza bin Laden as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) foreign persons determined to have committed, or pose a serious risk of committing, acts of terrorism that threaten the security of US nationals or the national security, foreign policy, or economy of the United States" a state department release stated.
