February 23, 2017

One person was on Thursday arrested from Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgarh district in connection with a fake Rs 2,000 note which was dispensed from a State Bank of India ATM in Delhi.

The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Isha, 27. He is an employee of Brinks Arya Pvt Ltd. which is responsible for installing currency notes in ATMs.

Isha was the custodian of the cash at the time it was being filled inside the ATM machine.

Yesterday, a call centre employee registered a complaint at the Sangam Vihar Police Station in the national capital when he withdrew Rs 8,000.

However, the withdrawn notes were found to be fake.

The fake note read 'Children Bank of India' in English and 'Bharatiya Manoranjan Bank' in Hindi.
