Rs 32.2cr for leave forgone

Anilkumar Manibhai Naik isn't riding off into the sunset - at least not yet.But the strongman of engineering and construction giant Larsen and Toubro - who has earned a reputation for pugnacity because of the way he faced down takeover threats from Reliance Industries and the A.V. Birla group in the '90s - has decided to cash in on his retirement benefits, running into Rs 38.04 crore. The sum includes a staggering leave encashment component of Rs 32.21 crore. Read more
