Venkaiah Naidu is India's new Vice President

JUST IN: National Democratic Alliance candidate Venkaiah Naidu has won the vice presidential election defeating opposition candidate Gopalkrishna Gandhi.

The latest counting figures indicated that he got 516 votes out of  the 771 votes polled.
