Cuffs on youth bound for Syria

Mumbai police today intercepted a young man from Kerala who was on his way to Syria, with sources saying he could be "helpful" in cracking the disappearance of nearly two dozen Malayalees since they went abroad last month. "We are questioning him. We intimated Kerala police and a team from there has arrived in Mumbai. He could be helpful in tracking down the remaining young men," said a source in the Maharashtra anti-terror squad. Sources said Firoz, a 20-year-old from Kerala's Kasargode district, was on his way to Syria to join the Islamic State.  Read more
