Explosion near Indian consulate in Jalalabad in Afghanistan
January 13, 2016

An explosion and gun fire has broken out near the Indian consulate in Afghanistan's Jalalabad area, which houses quite a few foreign missions.

It is still to be determined if there are any casualties or injuries. According to some TV reports, all Indians are safe.

The explosion comes after the Indian mission was recently attacked in Mazhar-i-Sharif. The Afghan police on Tuesday revealed that Pakistani army soldiers were involved in the attack.
