Bihar announces 50 pc reservation in judicial services

M I Khan reports from Patna: The Nitish Kumar-led Bihar governnment on Tuesday announced 50 per cent reservation for members of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and minorities in judicial services in the state.

The decision reserves 21 percent quota for aspirants belonging to Extremely Backward Class, 16 percent for members of Scheduled Caste, 12 percent for Other Backward Class and 1 percent for Scheduled Tribe.

The state government also announced 35 percent quota for women in all categories.
