Amid simmering tension between India Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted Nawaz Sharif on his birthday.

"Birthday wishes to Pakistan PM Mr. Nawaz Sharif. I pray for his long and healthy life," Modi said on Twitter.

Last year, on Sharif's 66th birthday, Modi made a surprise visit to Pakistan. However, right after his meeting Pakistan-based terrorist attacked Indian Air Force base in Punjab's Pathankot.
