Mahesh Bhupathi to take over as India's non-playing Davis Cup captain after Asia/Oceania zone tie against New Zealand in February.

The veteran tennis player's name had cropped up as a possible candidate for Davis Cup captaincy, but beleaguered Anand Amritraj had sought one more term. The AITA Executive Committee however decided in favour of Bhupathi.
