Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will be the Indian contingent's goodwill ambassador for the upcoming Rio Olympics. This is the first time that a Bollywood superstar will be a goodwill ambassador for the games. Mary Kom won the Olympic Bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics while the likes of Sardar Singh and Ritu Rani, captains of the Men's and Women's Hockey Team, have qualified for the Rio Olympics.
