Google pays tribute to Pt Ravi Shankar on his 96th birthday
April 07, 2016

Google pays tribute to Pandit Ravi Shankar with a very artistic doodle on his 96th birthday. Googles has used its letters like a spiraling creeper intertwined with a standing sitar to mark the Panditji's birthsay.

A Bharat Ratna, Ravi Shankar was one of India's most-loved musicians credited with introducing Indian classical music to the west. He passed away on December 11, 2012, after undergoing heart valve replacement surgery.
