Britain's Angus Deaton wins Economics Nobel

Just in: The Nobel prize in Economics is won by Britain's Angus Deaton.

Deaton has been honoured for his analysis of consumption, poverty, and welfare. 
His work has helped transformed the fields of microeconomics, macroeconomics and development economics. He has also made a number of contributions to the best ways to compare welfare across time and countries.
