'Modi-mania' hits Malaysia, Indian diaspora welcomes PM

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday morning, a large crowd of Indians thronged outside the hotel where he will be staying during his visit, waiting to catch a glimpse of him.

The cheering Indian diaspora were seen dressed up in traditional garb and were waiting outside the Hotel Renaissance with placards, banners and waving Indian flags.As the Prime Minister's car rolled in, the crowd burst out into chants of 'Modi Modi' as the security tried to contain the large crowd.

Modi, flanked by his security team went ahead to greet the crowd and waved at them while the deafening chants of 'Modi' and 'vande matram' rose.
