Epicentre of quake near Namche Bazar at Mt Everest base

The earthquake hit near the town of Namche Bazar, near Mount Everest. The US Geological Survey said it had a magnitude of 7.4. 


An earthquake on 25 April, centred in western Nepal, had a magnitude of 7.9. Tremors were felt as far away as Delhi and Dhaka. Reports said people rushed from buildings in Kathmandu as the quake struck at 12:35 local time.

This comes at a time when Nepal has just begun relief, rehabilitation and rebuilding efforts.
