What makes Smriti Irani tick?
March 31, 2015

Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani has said her ministry was working on a new National Education Policy which would be formed by December this year.

Ms Irani, who always made headlines, not necessarily for the right reasons, has been quiet of late. And some would say, out of favour.
BJP president Amit Shah reconstituted the party's national executive and picked a lean team of 111 members recently. Notable omissions include education minister Smriti Irani.

So, what makes her tick? A look at this picture might just give us a clue.
The two plaques on her table, obviously something she has picked out, say, "Want to go fast? go alone. Want to go far? Go together",  while the other goes, "The first step towards solving a problem is to begin". And then there's that book on Swami Vivekananda.  (Click on the picture for a larger image.)

Here's wishing the lady a successful innings at her ministry.
