Sources suggest that it may do so by accepting the demand to set up a Special Investigation Team to probe into all allegations about the high-profile tournament.   

The probe's terms and reference, if accepted by all political parties, will also cover eight top Congress leaders who have either been Union ministers or chief ministers.
