LIVE! 4 Indians teachers abducted by ISIS in Libya
July 31, 2015
News agency ANI is reporting that 4 Indian teachers have been abducted by Islamic State extremists in Sirte, Libya. No ransom demand has been made as yet.
Sources say the area from where the Indians were kidnapped is under the
control of the Islamic State, which has seized large swathes of Iraq and
Syria and has declared itself a caliphate.
The Indian government had last year issued an advisory asking its citizens to leave conflict-hit Libya.
The latest incident comes as 39 Indians remain missing in Iraq. They
were kidnapped last year at the height of the fighting between Sunni
militants and government forces.
