Security forces on Wednesday night killed two militants belonging to the Khaplang faction of NSCN, while a third militant was injured in the process. Official sources in the Assam Rifles in Kohima in a statement said that a patrol party which had gone to Meluri in Phek district following the kidnapping of two school boys by the militant group, were attacked by the militants leading to a heavy exchange of fire.
