In Tasgaon-Kavthe Mahankal bypoll, NCP candidate Suman Patil, the widow of party stalwart R R Patil, polled 4,991 votes after first round. She was ahead of BJP rebel and independent candidate Swapnil Patil, who was on second position with 718 votes.
