Maharashtra governor is likely to write to the home ministry seeking advice on whether President's rule should be imposed in the state. The NCP withdrew support from the Congress-led ruling coalition in the state yesterday.

The BJP met Maharashtra Governor CV Rao and requested him to impose President Rule in the state.
