The United States and "partner nation forces" from Arab countries are targeting Islamic State positions in the group's Syrian strongholds, a Pentagon spokesman says.

US media are reporting that Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are the Arab countries involved in the strikes in Syria citing anonymous US officials, according to BBC.
