Cabinet Secretary Ajit Seth has been tipped to become the Vice Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDRMA) which means he gets a Union Cabinet Minister status.

His 1974 IAS batchmates who have retired, have now got in touch with the Prime Minister Office's opposing his elevation. In fact, at least four batchmates describe Seth as a low profile person, who cannot handle the natural disasters like flood-hit Jammu and Kashmir.
