AAP takes BJP head on with Mufflerman campaign
November 24, 2014
In just the same way as Narendra Modi used Mani Shankar Aiyar's chaiwalla taunt to his benefit and launched his iconic chai pe charcha debates, the Aam Aadmi Party has turned the ridicule heaped at Arvind Kejriwal and his muffler to a winner of a campaign.
Last week, social networking sites were trending with "mufflerman" as
party volunteers put out innumerable posters (see picture) and slogans, hailing the
return of the "humble superhero".
Soon enough mufflerman began trending on Twitter.
One poster Kejriwal
to PM Narendra Modi, asking people to choose between the 'blufferman'
and the 'mufflerman'. The party has already started an aggressive campaign on radio and outdoor media much before its rivals and without even waiting for the announcement of the poll date.
