How would you react if your daughter was raped, BJP leader asks K'taka HM
November 07, 2014

A day after the Karnataka state Home Minister KJ George sparked a controversy by blaming the media for tarnishing Bengaluru's image by focussing on rape stories for TRPs, the former state BJP president K S Eshwarappa made personal attacks at opponents.

Eshwarappa reacted to the recent rape cases in Bangalore and lashed out at George's remarks, saying, "How would you react if your daughter was raped? Would you sit idle?

"Don't think HM or CM considers everyone as their own. Maybe when their own daughters are raped they might act differently", he said.

"They (state government) haven't arrested the accused yet. They are protecting the accused. That's why I say this is an irresponsible government," he further said.
