Modi summons Andhra Pradesh governor

Our correspondent in New Delhi reports: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has summoned Andhra Governor ESL Narasimhan at 11:30 am to PMO today to discuss the Telangana bifurcation process.

 

The governor meeting the PM before chief minister-elect Chandrababu Naidu assumes significance.  A huge economic package for Andhra is being contemplated, sources tell Rediff.com. The governor will also meet President Pranab Mukherjee at 1 pm today.
