In Jaunpur (UP), state Minister Satai Ram dies in an accident at an unmanned railway crossing. His car was crossing the rail tracks when the accident happened. Reports said that Satai Ram's driver and another staff member accompanying him were also killed. Over 200 people have been killed in such accidents in the last three years alone.
