Poor loser Mayawati blames Amit Shah for UP loss
May 17, 2014
And if there ever was a sore loser, it's BSP chief Mayawati, whose party didn't win a single seat in UP.

She says it was Amit Shah's inflammatory speeches that affected the atmosphere in UP.

The BJP received 42% votes in UP, which means that 58% of people didn't support BJP. "I appreciate that the Dalit community has managed to protect its movement from the onslaught. But BSP has not lost much in vote share. Upper caste votes which were to come to the BSP went to the BJP due to their disinformation.

"But the Dalit community is not effected by the so called wave. Though though we didn't get any seats, in UP we have got more votes than we did in 2009. In the number of votes, we are the 3rd largest party in India."
