Varanasi turns into fortress

Vicky Nanjappa @ Varanasi: Massive security arrangements have been made in Benaras. 

Around 25,000 police personnel and 20,000 central forces are patrolling the holy city, which has over 16 lakh voters.‎ 

Senior police officials have been asked to inspect the situation personally. 

Election commission officials, flying squads and micro observers too are on the job to ensure fair polling.

CCTV cameras have been fitted in all 1562 polling booths. Videographers are recording the proceedings in 300 booths
