One killed in firing by security forces in Srinagar

NDTV reports: One protester was killed and two others injured in Srinagar today when security forces opened fire during clashes with protesters soon after polling ended in the Kashmir's capital city. 

The clashes broke out once troops deployed on poll duty started withdrawing. The protesting youth pelted stones on security forces as part of anti-election protests in the area. Separatist groups had called for a poll boycott.

Police claim that troops opened fire after the youth a snatched rifle from security forces.
