Cong candidate booked for 'will chop Modi to pieces' speech
March 28, 2014
Congress Lok Sabha candidate Imran Masood from UP's Saharanpur, has been booked for his hate speech against Narendra Modi.

Masood had threatened to kill the BJP PM candidate. A video has surfaced showing Masood addressing a gathering and claiming to chop Modi into pieces.

Masood, however, remains defiant, saying he only meant that he would teach Modi a lesson and would apologise only if Modi apologised for the 2002 riots.

In his speech, Masood said, "UP is not Gujarat. There is only 4% Muslim population in Gujarat but in UP there are 22% Muslims here. I will fight against Modi because I know how to give a fitting reply to him. We will cut him into pieces."

The Election Commission had sought details of Masood's speech.
