Modi defends Gujarat's land acquisition policy
March 26, 2014
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has defended his state government's land acquisition policy after it came under sharp attack from Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal.

Kejriwal had alleged that the Gujarat government forcibly took land from farmers without awarding them adequate compensation.

Modi strongly refuted the allegation and claimed that not a single piece of land had been forcibly acquired by his government.

Even the Supreme Court had hailed the Gujarat government's land acquisition policy, claimed Modi.
