The CBI has registered a preliminary enquiry into audio tapes between Gujarat ministers and officials purportedly trying to derail the Ishrat Jahan case. The meeting was attended by Narendra Modi's personal secreteray GC Murmu who is now being questioned and was held a day before the SIT was to present its report.
