The voting time for the Lok Sabha polls has been extended to ensure increased voter participation, says the Election Commission. Voters can now exercise their franchise from 7 am to 6 pm. Polling normally starts at 8 am and ends at 5 pm. The closing time for Naxal areas will be changed, says the EC.
