TN politics: DMK in a fix, BJP stronger, Congress decimated
March 11, 2014
A correspondent from Delhi reports: Tamil Nadu is facing a five-corner electoral contest for the first time.

That leaves DMK in a spot, as it has no PM candidate to project.

The party campaigned for NDA's PM candidate Atal Bihari Vajapyee in 1998 and for Congress's Sonia Gandhi in 2004.

The BJP has emerged as the second strongest party in the polls, while the Congress is all but decimated.

Even party bigwigs like Rahul Gandhi or Sonia Gandhi are not likely to campaign in Tamil Nadu.
