Rajnath Singh rules out talks with Maoists
June 27, 2014
In a major shift from UPA's policy, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has ruled out talks with Maoists but said that a balanced approach will be adopted to resolve the Naxal problem.
Previously, the Congress-led government wanted to engage with the Naxals and find a permanent solution to the problem. But the BJP-led government took a tough stance against the Maoists.
On Thursday, Rajnath Singh visited the CRPF headquarters in Delhi and reviewed the operational preparedness of the force.
The Union Minister promised to find a solution to the Naxal problem.
