A Correspondent reports: Rajeev Topno, the talented officer of Dr Manmohan Singh's PMO, has been retained and promoted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  

He will be personal assistant to PM Modi.   Topno belongs to '96 batch of Gujarat cadre and is a tribal from Jharkhand.  Has a fairly good experience of functioning of the previous PMO.
