An Indian woman has been abducted in Afghanistan's Herat province. Unknown gunmen abducted the woman, who is an aid worker.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The Ministry of External Affairs is yet to confirm the abduction.

The Indian consulate in Herat was attacked last week.
