Author Nabarun Bhattacharya breathed his last in Kolkata today. He was the only child of actor Bijon Bhattacharya and writer, activist and Magasaysay award winner Mahasweta Devi. His controversial novel, Herbert (1993) was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award. He was 66.
