No extension for Justice Katju as Press Council chairman
July 26, 2014
Just in: Justice Markandey Katju paid a courtesy call to Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javdekar recently. Sources say he is keen to continue as the chairman of the Press Council of India.

But the Prime Minister's Office has categorically said that Katju will not be given an extension.

He is less than three months away from the end of his Press Council term. He was appointed to the post on October 5, 2011 for a three-year term.
