Congress leader Kamal Nath nixed reports of a coup to oust Rahul Gandhi as the de facto leader of the party. Nath said, Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's resignation was rebellion against Rahul. He said Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi continues to enjoy a majority and dismissed suggestions that the dissidence in the state was against party vice president Rahul Gandhi.
