At least 1 one dead as typhoon batters Philippines

At least one person is dead and thousands are sheltered in evacuation centres as ferocious winds from Typhoon Glenda batter down on Philippines.Wind gusts of up to 250 kilometre an hour ripped down trees, tore roofs off houses and overturned cars. Others have been injured owing to electrocution while officials said that three fishermen were missing at seas.
