Pune police confirm explosion was caused by a bomb blast

Update on the explosion in Pune. Rediff.com's Vicky Nanjappa reports that the Pune police have found ball bearings and nails which were part of the bomb. The bomb exploded outside the Faraskhana police station, close to the famous Dagduseth Ganapati temple police station, injuring three people. The police are not ruling out a terror angle and said that it could be the job of a local gang. An alert has been sounded across the city to report suspicious objects. The bomb today was placed on a motorcycle and may have been connected to a timer.
