Navy had warned govt of vulnerable state of submarines in 2010

NDTV reports: The Indian Navy had warned the defence ministry and the Prime Minister's
Office about the highly 'vulnerable' state of submarines in a report
submitted in 2010.
"The submarine arm of the nation has never
before been poised in such a vulnerable situation with regard to
operational availability and strength. In the next five years, India
will have its lowest submarine capability in the history of submarine
arm," the report had said.
