PM Modi leaves for Japan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Japan at 6 this morning for a five-day visit, his first major bilateral trip since taking over in May. Modi will first meet Prime Minister Shinzo Abe privately in Kyoto before holding official talks in Tokyo, seeking to boost trade. Before he left, he said Japan was important for the Indian government.
