FIR against Shiv Sena's Ramdas Kadam for hate speech at Modi rally
April 23, 2014
A first information report has been filed against Shiv Sena leader Ramdas Kadam for his alleged 'anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan remarks'. The Mumbai police have registered an FIR after complaint from the Election Commission.
Sharing the stage with Narendra Modi at a rally in Mumbai, Kadam said,
"These
Muslims rioted against police and burnt their vehicles".
"They
vandalised the statues of martyrs, they molested policewomen... I am
confident Narendra Modi will ensure that such acts are not left
unpunished," he said, referring to the riots at Azad Maidan in 2012."
