Amit Shah addressing a rally in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. Targeting Rahul Gandhi, Shah says, "Kabhi mummy ne kuch keh diya, abhi behen ne kuch keh diya, bhagwan nah karey yeh PM ban jaye, toh puchengey mummy main kya karun? Sometimes his mother, sometimes his sister speak, God forbid he becomes PM, he will ask his mother, 'what do I say'.
Narendra Modi's close aide Amit Shah was booked by the Bijnor administration for asking voters to take "revenge for the insult" during
the violence in Muzaffarnagar last year.
"In Uttar Pradesh, especially western UP, it is an election for
honour. It is an election to take revenge for the insult. It an election
to teach a lesson to those who have committed injustice," he told a
meeting of community leaders early this month.
