Sonia Gandhi reaches Rae Bareli, the constituency from where she is seeking re-election for the third time, in a shower of rose petals. The BJP is fielding a 'weak' candidate Ajay Agarwal.

Rahul and Priyanka are accompanying Sonia here. In 2009, Sonia won by over 4 lakh votes from here, a constituency she has been nurtured with a factory by BHEL. The SP hasn't fielded any candidate from here. Sonia is expected to file her nomination at 2 pm, before which she is expected to attend a yagna.
