While demanding the death penalty, the prosecution cites the Dhananjay Chatterjee case, where the rapist and murderer was hanged. The prosecution says this case, the Delhi gang rape, was far more heinous and gruesome and is pushing it as the rarest of rare case.

All the four convicts and the family of the victim are in court.
