The Election Commission has issued notice to Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for his speeches in violation of the model code of conduct.

The EC examined Gandhi's recent remarks linking Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence to the Muzaffarnagar riot victims. The action was taken after EC received a report on Gandhi's speech by the collector of Indore where here made this statement.
