At least 30 Union Ministers and Congress leaders have got in touch with an industrialist who has been named in the coal scam.

They have expressed their shock at the functioning of the CBI and fundraisers of the Congress have also assured the industrialist that they stand by him during his hour of crisis.

The industrialist recounted his meetings with Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi, a day before the CBI filed the FIR and fumed asking if this was the manner in which the government reposed its faith in industry.
